Digital decluttering (2)
Last week I began a very satisfying process of digital decluttering and I’m into phase 2:
- moving to Mac for Office 2008 which is soooooooooo good. The only problem is that my free upgrade copy does not have Exchange Server Support so I can’t use Entourage 2008 at work which looks fantastic.
- invested in a new external hard drive (320GB) which now sits on my study desk and backs up both the Macs twice a week.
- been through my entire CD collection and got my iTunes tweaked to perfection – some whole albums, some one hit wonders and some “best songs” collections.
- set up my iPod to use as an external hard drive and put all my photos in iPhoto on to it.
- gone through my YouTube favourites and used Tube Sock to download my own copy of each clip, including this one which is a hit with my 18 month old daughter.
- culled my RSS feeds in Google Reader. My criteria: if I don’t read them, don’t feed them. I’ve kept bookmarks to all the blogs I have read in the past and sorted them all out using Bookdog.
- impressed Tash.
:) smirk, grin, giggle.
stratospheric is the level of challenge you set before me.
